New Energy Efficient Classrooms for Carbrooke Academy
The final finishing touches are being made to two new classrooms at Carbrooke Academy ready for the new school term and Diamond Services has been delighted to provide all of the electrical requirements for the new building.
The St Peter & St Paul Carbrooke primary school has the capacity to teach 210 pupils and caters for ages 2-11. Its new school building will provide a comfortable, inviting environment for children to learn and has been designed using the latest energy-efficient technologies.
Diamond Services provided a comprehensive electrical contracting service, installing the power, lighting, fire alarm and intruder alarms, and all data cabling for the building extension.
Its energy efficient lighting design, manufactured by KSR lighting, includes LED smart lighting with presence control.
Director Martin Barmby said, “Lighting control is incredibly important when designing a commercial space like a school classroom. As experts in this sector, we were pleased to put forward an alternative affordable, efficient system as part of our proposal that has excellent performance and warranties and meets all of the specification requirements for the design. Ongoing efficiencies of smart sensor controls and low energy usage mean the school will benefit from long-term cost savings.”
The project has been managed by Draper & Nichols, an established building contractor based in Norwich.
